He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Kennesaw State University (formerly Southern Polytechnic State University) and a Master of Historic Preservation from the University of Georgia, a combination that gives him insight into both new construction and preservation work.

His portfolio includes work at the Georgia World Congress Center, new campus developments for the Technical College System of Georgia, and multiple projects supporting the University System of Georgia.
