Training the Workforce Behind Georgia’s Mobility Future
The Hyundai Mobility Training Center of Georgia transforms advanced manufacturing from an economic-development vision into hands-on opportunity. Located beside Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America in Ellabell, the 89,000SF facility prepares employees for the highly automated processes shaping the future of vehicle production.
Operated by Georgia Quick Start, the center can train as many as 824 people at one time and will help build the workforce needed to support Hyundai’s growing Georgia operations.

02. The Challenge
Keeping Pace with a Rapidly Evolving Industry
The training center had to advance at the speed of Hyundai’s production ramp-up while its specialized training programs and equipment requirements were still evolving.
Unlike a conventional classroom facility, the building needed to recreate real manufacturing conditions. Full-scale production simulations, robotics, welding, mechatronics, high-voltage battery training and virtual-reality environments all had to be coordinated within a flexible facility capable of adapting alongside rapidly changing vehicle technology.
The project also brought together the priorities of TCSG, Georgia Quick Start, Hyundai, the design team and the construction team, each working toward a firm operational milestone.
03. The CPS Story
Connecting People, Priorities and Progress
CPS helped connect the people responsible for delivering the building with those responsible for creating the training experience inside it.
Serving as the owner’s advocate, CPS supported coordination among TCSG, Georgia Quick Start, Hyundai, the design team and the construction team. The team kept decisions moving, monitored the project’s critical schedule and helped manage the interfaces between the building, specialized training equipment and Hyundai’s evolving operational requirements.
That coordination helped the project team maintain momentum while protecting the center’s larger purpose: delivering a sophisticated, adaptable training environment ready to support Georgia’s emerging mobility workforce.
04. The Outcome
Built for the Future of Mobility
The completed center is Georgia’s first workforce training facility created specifically for electric-vehicle manufacturing, and it is already designed for what comes next.
Trainees move through immersive environments that mirror Hyundai’s production processes, including a full-length moving assembly line, high-voltage battery and safety training, robotics, welding, paint, automation, mechatronics and virtual-reality labs.
More than a collection of classrooms, the center is a flexible workforce platform that can evolve with electric, hybrid and future mobility technologies. It represents a lasting investment in Georgia’s talent pipeline and the thousands of careers growing around Hyundai’s Metaplant.
