Steve Mauro, PE

Steve brings more than 35 years of experience leading complex construction, maintenance, operations, and utility system initiatives. A former Civil Engineer Corps Officer in the U.S. Navy, he holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the United States Naval Academy and a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Florida. He is also a registered Professional Engineer in Georgia and Florida. As a Principal on major programs, Steve provides executive oversight and helps clients and project teams navigate critical decisions involving budget, schedule, quality, risk, and ongoing operations.

As CPS’s operations leader, Steve helps establish the practices and expectations that support consistent project delivery across the firm. He works closely with staff to strengthen project management, develop leadership skills, and build teams capable of taking on increasingly complex assignments. His disciplined, mission-focused approach, shaped by experience across healthcare, aviation, defense, and critical infrastructure, allows him to provide both technical guidance and practical coaching while keeping CPS’s work centered on protecting the Owner’s interests.
