Joe Chapman-Franklin Thornton Public Safety Center

The Walton County Public Safety Complex is a $150 million, 216,000 SF public safety campus delivered through CPS program management services to modernize the County’s justice infrastructure. The complex includes an 869-bed adult detention center, jail support spaces, administrative offices, a Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team building, and advanced security, medical, and behavioral health facilities delivered through a CMAR approach. CPS coordinated with County leadership, design teams, contractors, and stakeholders to align operational requirements, security needs, and long-term facility goals. The new complex enhances public safety operations, improves staff and detainee environments, and provides a future-ready facility to serve Walton County for decades to come.
