Serving as a cornerstone of Douglasville’s sustainability efforts, Comprehensive Program Services (CPS) delivered complete program management services for the City’s new 11,745 GSF Recycling Center, situated on a 1.86-acre disturbed site. The modern facility streamlines recycling operations and improves accessibility for residents, featuring covered drop-off areas, sorting and processing bays, administrative offices, and conference space. Designed for both efficiency and functionality, the center provides a safe, organized environment for handling recyclable materials while supporting the City’s commitment to environmental stewardship.

To further enhance operational performance, CPS assisted the City in procuring advanced recycling equipment, including the Marathon® Gemini® Manual-Tie Horizontal Baler and the V-6030HD Heavy-Duty Vertical Baler. These systems enable efficient processing of diverse material streams, delivering high compaction, consistent bale density, and faster cycle times, while supporting both high-volume and supplemental baling operations.

By ensuring appropriate materials are diverted from the waste stream, the Recycling Center helps reduce landfill volume, conserve resources, and minimize the community’s overall environmental footprint. The project not only enhances the City’s operational capabilities but also promotes public awareness around sustainability, serving as a visible and lasting reminder of Douglasville’s commitment to a cleaner, greener future.
