Comprehensive Program Services (CPS) provided complete program management services for Walton County’s new Public Safety Complex, a major investment in the County’s justice infrastructure. The $150 million complex spans approximately 216,000 square feet and includes an 869-bed adult detention center, jail support, administrative space, a dedicated Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team building, and other County services. Utilizing a Construction Management at Risk delivery method, the project replaces an outdated facility with a state of the art campus designed to enhance security, efficiency, and operational readiness.

The detention center features advanced control systems, secure housing units, support services, and dedicated spaces for medical and mental health care. This commitment to behavioral health reflects Walton County’s focus on providing humane and comprehensive treatment of pre-trial detainees within a secure environment. The facility’s modern design improves inmate management, staff safety, and service delivery while allowing for future expansion to meet long term needs. Through this project, CPS helped deliver a critical public safety resource that supports the well being of the community and strengthens the County’s ability to serve its citizens for decades to come.
