Concourse C North Expansion
Concourse C North Expansion
CPS performs as an extension of Delta Air Lines as a true “agent of the owner’ for various projects for the airline. Recently we assisted with the renovation and expansion of Concourse C North which added over 12,000 SF of hold room and office space on the Boarding Level. The project also included 12,000 SF renovation and upgrades for airline use on the apron level.
The project provided the airport passengers a more consistent and user-friendly aircraft loading arrangement on the North end of Concourses C, by replacing the existing stairwells with passenger boarding bridges – specifically modified to adapt to the smaller RJ style aircraft. This eliminated the passenger exposure to the elements and significantly improved the passenger experience.
In addition to the gate modifications, the project also installed fueling pits to the existing C-North fueling system to eliminate the need for any future fuel tankering. Every gate is supported by its own fuel pit.
The project was managed to successful completion 4 months ahead of schedule and $500k under budget.
