Comprehensive Program Services (CPS) is honored to support the City of Dunwoody, Georgia in delivering a project that stands as a timeless tribute to the men and women who have served our nation. The new Veterans Memorial Park is more than a public destination; it is a place of remembrance, reflection, and enduring community pride. Thoughtfully designed and rich with symbolism, the memorial creates a reverent environment that honors the bravery, sacrifice, and selflessness of America’s service members.

Located at a prominent civic site within Dunwoody, the park embodies the community’s deep commitment to honoring veterans and preserving their stories for future generations. Through its integration of meaningful materials, ceremonial elements, and symbolic gestures, the memorial invites visitors to pause, reflect, and connect with the legacy of those who protected our freedoms.

At the core of the park is a series of granite monuments dedicated to each branch of the United States Armed Forces, including the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and Space Force. A separate monument honors Prisoners of War and the POW/MIA legacy, ensuring that the memory of those who never returned home remains permanently enshrined. A prominent American flag anchors the site, complemented by service-specific pillars and flags that establish a powerful procession toward the heart of the memorial. There, the Eternal Flame burns continuously as a symbol of sacrifice, resilience, and remembrance.

Surrounding walkways are lined with engraved memorial bricks donated by families and supporters, creating a direct and personal connection between the community and those who served. Additional granite installations, including the battlefield cross, provide quiet points of reflection where visitors can honor loved ones and contemplate the cost of service.

As Program Manager, CPS provided leadership, coordination, and oversight throughout the development of this meaningful civic space, ensuring that every decision upheld the project’s dignity and purpose. CPS worked closely with the City of Dunwoody to maintain transparent communication, manage budget and schedule expectations, and deliver a memorial built with the highest level of quality and respect. From planning to completion, CPS remained committed to honoring the emotional significance of the project by ensuring that each element was executed with intention and care.
