Town Green and Amphitheater
Town Green and Amphitheater
Anchoring the City’s downtown revitalization efforts, Comprehensive Program Services (CPS) oversaw full program management for the City of Douglasville’s new Amphitheater. Set in the heart of the 2-acre Douglasville Town Green site, the venue is designed to accommodate approximately 3,700 patrons and includes a covered stage, tiered seating, expansive lawn space, and supporting infrastructure such as concessions and restrooms. Built as a year-round entertainment hub, the facility features high-quality lighting and sound systems, large video screens at each end of the stage, and a flexible layout that can host concerts, festivals, community gatherings, and cultural events.
Beyond the standard venue amenities, the project incorporates special features that elevate the experience and community value. The Amphitheater and Town Green complex includes a splash pad, boulder climbing area, “playable art” installations, and recently hosted major acts including multi-Grammy winner Gladys Knight during its opening concert. In addition, the venue offers a VIP area and dedicated kitchen/concession zone for event catering, creating elevated hospitality options for private functions or premium ticket experiences. The strategic combination of retail-style site amenities, community programming, and live entertainment transforms the space into a dynamic destination for residents and visitors alike rather than simply a government-run performance site and strengthens downtown Douglasville’s identity as a vibrant cultural and economic hub.
