Cobb County Adult Detention and Law Enforcement Center
Comprehensive Program Services (CPS) has managed several recent program additions including associated needs assessments at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center Campus. The relationship between the CPS team members and Cobb County began over twenty years ago, and has encompassed multiple projects on the Detention Center Campus, including:
Adult Detention Center Phase I Expansion: Completed in 1997 under budget of $42M and within the program schedule. Needs Assessment and Conceptual Design/Budget completed in 1997 for Phase 1 and updated in 2005 for the Phase 2 SPLOST vote.
Work Release Center: In 2002, a new 384-bed, $5M Work Release Center was built to house local inmates and to serve as an alternative to incarceration for inmates who could suitably work on a minimum-security work detail or in a work release setting.
